Biotherapeutic Drainage

by hartteuser Leave a Comment

Biotherapeutic Drainage

“Drainage is the combination of measures to be used to ensure the regular elimination of toxins that burden the body of a person. I say of a person, not of persons, because the fact of great importance to remember is that drainage must always be individualized.”

Dr. Leon Vannier

Biotherapeutic Drainage defined

Bio:
“Prefix indicating relationship to life.” Taber’s Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary, F.A. Davis Company, Philadelphia, 1993

Therapeutic:
“Pertaining to results obtained from the treatment.” Taber’s Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary, F.A. Davis Company, Philadelphia, 1993

Drainage:
“Cells release wastes and toxins into the surrounding tissues. Drainage is the process ensuring that these wastes and toxins are carried by blood and lymph out of cells and tissues toward the excretory organs call emunctories for their elimination.” From Natural Medecine to a Medecine of the Individual, Dr. Gerard Gueniot with Dr. Pierre Tondelier, Editions Amyris, 2010

What is the difference between detox and drainage?

What is Detoxification?
Simply put, this is the process of removing toxic substances from the body. In the medical world, this is sometimes accomplished by aggressive means that push the body past its physiological limits. Some examples of detox therapies you may be familiar with include IV chelation or laxatives.

What is Drainage?
Drainage unblocks your body to eliminate toxins, without aggression and without pushing the body past its physiologic limits. It restores normal function to the primary and secondary emunctories, allowing the body to function as it is intended.

Some key points about drainage:

  • Drainage involves the cleansing of the body to enable it to self-regulate
  • Drainage helps return the body to its intended state of health and vitality
  • Drainage gets rid of toxins that are both inside and outside our cells
  • Drainage therapy can be used in combination with other treatments and is not contraindicated with any medications

What Medicines or Supplements are used with Drainage?
Drainage therapy utilizes remedies called UNDA Numbered Compounds. These were developed in Belgium in the 1930s. They are liquid homeopathic preparations of various plants and minerals. The plants target specific organ systems, and the minerals work as co-factors for enzymes in organs. There are 76 different remedies, and they are usually prescribed in combinations of three different remedies.

UNDA Numbered Compounds are drainage remedies. They are different from traditional detoxification therapies because they honor the body and do not push it past its limits. They are extremely safe to use in any population, including infants, pregnant mothers, and patients with cancer.

Is Drainage for me?

Performing Biotherapeutic Drainage was one of the tools I used to reverse my Osteoporosis and build my bones back up to normal. It was GAME-CHANGING. So much so that I studied it and became a Certified Biotherapeutic Drainage Practitioner.

Let’s face the facts.

We live in a toxic world. We are constantly exposed to harmful chemicals in the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink, and the personal and cleaning products we use. There are over 80,000 chemicals registered by the EPA. Nearly 4,000 of these are considered “high-use” chemicals. Only a small fraction of these chemicals have been evaluated for their toxic effects on adults and children.

Drainage is definitely for you if suffer from:

  • Fatigue, pain, or headaches
  • Mood changes including anxiety or depression
  • Brain fog and reduced memory
  • Nerve pain, tremors, or problems with balance
  • Immune system dysfunction
  • Digestive problems including bloating, constipation, gas, or nausea
  • Hormone imbalance
  • Skin problems
  • OSTEOPOROSIS

Michale Hartte BASc (Nutr), NNCP CH has been trained in the use of UNDA Numbered Compounds and other methods of Drainage since 2015. Make an appointment today to fill out your FREE toxicity questionnaire and start feeling better! Michale’s Calendar

What are the basic principles of Biotherapeutic DrainageTM?

  • The body has the potential to naturally eliminate toxins, both those exogenously acquired and endogenously produced.
  • The goal is to normalize physiology by optimizing the body’s capacity to eliminate toxins.
  • When physiology is normalized, disease cannot exist.
  • The method of removing blockages to normal functioning respects physiology.
  • It works at both an intracellular and extracellular level due to homeopathic remedy potency.
  • It is not a quick fix – we must understand that nature takes time to heal and return physiology to normal by removing the toxic overload from today’s environmental chemicals.

Why is Biotherapeutic DrainageTM applicable today?

  • It addresses patients’ health problems that result from weaknesses in the body’s ability to deal with:
    • poor nutrition
    • stress overload
    • environmental toxins
  • It avoids pronounced aggravations of the patient’s symptoms by optimizing the elimination capacity of primary and secondary emunctories.
  • Biotherapeutic drainageTM is safe and gentle enough to be used in infants, children, adults and elderly patients as well as patients on various medications
  • It can be used in conjunction with other modalities.

How is Biotherapeutic DrainageTM individualized?

  • The treatment is of individual patients, not diseases.
    • There is no disease-specific protocol.
    • Protocols for specific manifestations of symptoms may be adapted to the patient.
    • As this is much different than what they are used to, the practitioner must educate their patient to the benefits of healing deeply and what the journey will be like.
  • It is individualized to patients by categorizing their Terrain. The Terrain is the biochemical and physiological environment of the individual which may be analyzed by miasm, temperament and constitution.
    • Miasm: the genetically inherited plus acquired ability to detoxify on the cellular level. A miasm manifests itself in a patient by mode of cellular detoxification.
    • Temperament: Temporo-spatial classification of the person: how the patient interacts with the world, the way of being in the world such as introverted or extroverted, more in the reasoning mind, or in sensation and in what combination and proportion?
    • Constitution: the physical structure consisting of skeletal structure and posture plus physical nature which is evident when faced with specific life situations that require the patient to take a stand.

What products can be used to facilitate drainage?
Biotherapeutic DrainageTM can be achieved with products that facilitate drainage on the intracellular level. Products made from substances from the plant, mineral and animal kingdoms will only have an intra-cellular effect when they are prepared so that they have a vibrational resonance at that level. APRIL IS CLEANSING MONTH! Your spring cleanse made easy. Will you join me?

CC BY-NC-ND by lucasmohamd

Happy Spring time, all you Fit n Healthy’s! It’s time to cleanse! Will you join me? I’m starting a ‘Fit n Healthy 30 Day Spring Cleanse’ and you’re invited!

If you’re like me, I am a BIG fan of following the Natural Laws of Health to get and stay healthy for the long term.

In fact, the very foundation to these laws rests on Natural Circadian Rhythms. Everything in nature has a cycle.

Look to your environment. Spring is a time of regrowth and renewal.

Why cleanse?

We all have toxins in our bodies that are holding us back to being slim and sexy. Have poor digestion? Look to toxicity. Uncontrollable food cravings (for ‘bad’ foods)? Look to toxicity. Headaches? Menstrual cramps? Brain fog? Adult acne? Seasonal allergies? Yup – toxicity!

The good news is – You don’t need to suffer!

The time is NOW – to RESET your body.

Cleanse the easy way – Craft your days and live your life in sync with nature

I truly believe, health comes easily when you align yourself with your natural rhythm or cycle. Some examples would be:

  • Getting your 8-8.5 hrs of solid sleep in the springtime (9.5 in the winter months).
  • Drinking 1 litre of filtered water first thing in the morning (facilitates everyday cleansing).
  • Having a ‘protein rich’ breakfast and lunch (optimal time to properly digest protein is before 3pm).

This is just a snapshot of what you’ll learn in the next 30 days.

Join me and be part of my team to do this ALL TOGETHER! So much more fun in groups, isn’t?

Your ‘Fit n Healthy 30 Day Spring Cleanse’

The entire month of April will be dedicated to ‘cleansing the easy way’.  I’ll be posting information on the ‘do’s and don’ts’ to cleansing. Most importantly, I’ll  teach you how to cleanse safely too (my specialty)!

Will you join me?

Wanna have some fun? Stay on track? Take your health to the next level (or two)  – then please join my group! Here’s how:

You can find this information here on my blog, at facebook Fit n Healthy Nutritional Consulting or stay connected by joining my email list info@fitnhealthynutrition.com (insert subject line: Add me to your list).

Group benefits

As part of my group, you can get your questions answered, share what works for you (or doesn’t ), or simply leave your comments. The best part of all this – Its all FREE!

We can talk about healthy ‘poops’, favorite cleansing drinks, what to do if you’re detoxing too fast. All those fun topics.

Welcome to your ‘The Fit n Healthy 30 Day Spring Cleanse’. Glad you can join me!

Uncontrolled Sugar Cravings?

by Michale 5 Comments

Candida may be the culprit

If you are among others who have tried to eliminate sugars from your diet and STILL find yourself reaching for the sweets… it may not be due to your lack of willpower. Candida may be your culprit.

Candidiasis refers to the overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus, Candida albicans, that exists in our intestinal tract, vagina, mouth, and skin. We do need about 10%-15% of this fungus to live happily along side our friendly bacteria. The problem occurs when there is a disturbance in their environment and candida grows out of control. If left unchecked, candida can grow roots and burrow through the gut lining creating a leaky gut syndrome. This undesirable situation now leads to further health challenges when undigested food particles find their way into the bloodstream where they do not belong.

Our immune system may also produce antibodies against the candida where the body has now, in effect, acquired an allergy to it. This is believed to be the primary reason why Candidiasis keeps coming back.

That is not the end of it! The overgrowth of candida albicans can get so far out of control, enter our bloodstream and attack other organs! Yikes!!!

Candidiasis Checklist

If you have 4+ of the symptoms listed below, you may have Candidiasis

  • Chronic fatigue, tiredness, feelings of being drained
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Psoriasis, hives, or skin rash
  • Severe reaction to perfume, tobacco, or chemical odours
  • Rectal itching or bladder infections
  • Anxiety or depression
  • Feeling “spacey”
  • White coating on tongue
  • Fungal infections around the nails or feet (athletes foot)
  • Appearance of dark circles under the eyes
  • PMS, menstrual problems, vaginal discharge, burning or itching, endometriosis, uterine fibroids
  • Prostate problems, impotence
  • BABIES: Thrush, yeast infections, diaper rash

Women are four times more likely than men to suffer candida overgrowth. If you are experiencing four or more vaginal yeast infections in a year, consult a healthcare practitioner. Sometimes the first sign of diabetes is a stubborn vaginal yeast infection that will not go away.

Thrush is the term used when babies have excess candida in their mouths. It presents itself as white milk curds (that will not rub off) on the gums, tongue, and inside of the cheeks. The baby may be fussy, but not bothered. Thrush is usually found among newborn babies. It is rarely seen in babies over the age of one month unless the child has been on heavy doses of antibiotics.

The 3 Main Causes of Candidasis

  1. Medications and a poor diet. Antibiotics are the most common causes. Antibiotics not only kill off the “bad” bacteria, it kills all of the bacteria (including our friendly bacteria) upsetting the proper balance. Birth control pills, steroid drugs, chemotherapy, and dietary habits that include excess sugar and refined carbohydrates as well as dairy products can also contribute to candida.
  2. Low Stomach Acid (HCL). Candidiasis has also been associated with low stomach acid. Stomach acid or HCL (hydrochloric acid) is necessary for the breakdown of proteins and minerals. As a result, most people with candida overgrowth become mal absorbers and result in serious nutritional deficiencies. Symptoms of low stomach acid are: abdominal bloating or distension, a full or loggy feeling after a heavy meat meal, excessive gas or burping after meals, constipation and foul-smelling stools, breath, and urine.
  3. Amalgams. Mercury amalgam fillings are a stress to the immune system and can invite fungal overgrowth.

Candidiasis is almost impossible to eradicate without a good supplement and diet plan. To learn more about Candidiasis and how you can self-treat it, stay tuned for my up and coming Nutri-Body ™ Questionnaire Self Test. Taking this test can help guide you as to where your primary nutritional and metabolic imbalances are. A Report titled, ‘Interpreting the Results’ will be immediately sent back to you with Simple Solutions that you can begin right away to help you take your power back and stop those sugar cravings!
