Bone Broth with parsley (nature’s youth serum)

More than anything else, to stop pain, look and feel young, strong and vibrant – collagen is king.

Properly prepared bone broth contains a high amount of collagen (the secret to pain-free joints and youth).

Nature’s youth serum at its best.

Rejuvenate your body, at any age with this bone broth recipe!

I discovered the health benefits of bone broth first when I used it to stop a cold in one day

Still, to this day, I consume one cup a day as part of my health strategy to stay optimal. I’ve particularly noticed how it helps my joints after strenuous workouts. I’ve also been ‘cold free’. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

The more research and study I do on how to be fit and healthy at fifty, the more I keep coming across the benefits of bone broth.

Gee, even basketball legend, Kobe Bryant regularly consumed it. He reported bone broth was key to keeping him away from getting injured.and on the court in the twilight of his career.

Many other high-level athletes report the same.

Health Benefits of Bone Broth

Why is bone broth so good for us?

You’ve likely heard of collagen is good for your joints.

Did you know it’s equally important for your bones, skin, hair, arteries, and just about everywhere else?

Its what keeps you from sagging and looking all weak, soft, and mushy.

Got children going through a growth spurt? Give them collagen-rich broth.

The calcium and other minerals help bones grow. Cooking meat on the bone extracts all those well-known vitamins and minerals, plus the collagen-rich growth factors.

To have tall, strong well-proportioned children, we’re told to give them milk. If it’s organic whole milk – especially raw, I’m all in. However, if it’s store-bought, processed milk, I’m 100% against it.

Wonder about your mineral status?

Symptoms of low mineral status include:

  • body pain, including joint pain
  • chronic fatigue and just plain tired all the time
  • muscle cramps and muscle weakness
  • slow to recover from exercise
  • osteoporosis and osteopenia
  • dental caries and tooth decay
  • overweight
  • depression

If this sounds like you, then I would consider making bone broth part of your daily diet.

Health Benefits of Parsley

I wrote about the amazing health benefits of parsley in my last blog post Tired all the time? Try this energy boosting tip!

Parsley is extremely rich in chlorophyll and carotenes.

Why does that matter?

With the high rise in Cancer, it’s an herb to keep in mind for Cancer prevention. In particular, parsley’s naturally occurring plant oils – myristicin, limonene, eugenol, and alpha-thujene – have all demonstrated anticancer effects. This research is according to Michael Murray, ND in his book, ‘The Encyclopedia of Healing Foods’.

Parsley is a known ‘nerve stimulant’ meaning it helps with energy.

This is likely why you see it in so many natural energy drinks. Its high chlorophyll content is one of the reasons it has long been used for energy.
